ACE*COMM Announces Bell Canada Contract

ACE*COMM Corporation announced that ACE*COMM Canada, its Canadian subsidiary, was awarded a contract by Bell Canada for the supply of a Telecom Data Warehousing and Business Support System based on its N*VISION, advanced mediation platform. The system will be deployed to support Bell Canada International and Bell Nexxia, an IP services company, in their international wholesale business. The value of this order exceeds US$2.5 million dollars.

When implemented, the system will provide a wide range of functionality including the collection and processing of billing, operational and SS7 data from diverse network elements, switches and other devices that provide a wide range of communications services to Bell customers. It is referred to as Convergent Mediation, which is a core business of ACE*COMM. The N*VISION platform will collect, validate, normalize, correlate and augment data with other customer data and related service information. Data feeds to advanced mediation functions will flow from an internal data warehouse and will then be summarized to create various dimensional views addressing the specific business processes of various users. One of these dimensional views provides billing information in near real-time, to which the system will apply rates and cost analysis - with facilities and carrier costs added, settlements, marketing analysis, business performance analysis, network planning and service level agreement tracking.
