InterBiz Introduces IntelliKITs
InterBiz, the e-business applications division of Computer Associates International, Inc., announced that it will offer a library of pre-packaged expert business "experience." The new offering, intelliKITs, is expected to be released in mid-2000.
IntelliKITs extends the power of CA's neural network agent technology - called Neugents- by identifying patterns of information that have been determined to have preceded relevant business events in the past. intelliKITs will be offered by CA's interBiz division.
Employing CA's Neugent technology and advanced contextual visualization techniques, intelliKITs advance the concept of data mining by providing organizations with the intelligence to predict the outcome of business initiatives, which could minimize risks and lead to increased market share and revenue.
IntelliKITs utilize interBiz's understanding of business application behavior to look for abnormal situations. It does this by monitoring the intricate interactions and relationships in the business data and processes. Once an intelliKIT is installed in an organization, it can predict changes and suggest courses of action to proactively capitalize on opportunities and/or avoid potential problems.
"IntelliKITs are a prepackaged application of Neugent technology that adds value to the user's enterprise right out of the box," said Wai Wong, interBiz general manager.
IntelliKITs will be sold as an option to current interBiz business applications users. intelliKITs will complement BizWorks, the company's exclusive product that offers knowledge workers a unified view of business information from disparate enterprise systems, and adds business value to the now-centralized information resource through advanced analysis, predictive management and unique visualization techniques.
"In today's thriving economy, one of the greatest challenges for businesses is managing the knowledge base of its workforce." Wong added. "intelliKITs offer a way to leverage and enrich a companies knowledge base."
