MicroStrategy Partners with African IT Integration Firm
MicroStrategy Incorporated announced a partnership with Dimension Data Holdings, South Africa's largest Information Technology integration company. The partnership will serve to bolster Dimension Data's e-business and customer relationship management (CRM) product offerings and extend MicroStrategy's presence in the South African marketplace.
MicroStrategy will attempt to provide Dimension Data's customers with the technology needed to gain understanding of customer preferences and then market directly to individuals through multiple touch points. Dimension Data will resell this technology to its clientele.
"Intelligent E-Business is about turning information into insight - insight that enables you to make better decisions, build better products, foster enhanced customer relationships and increase your sales. This is critical for any business wanting to gain and maintain a competitive edge in an increasingly customer-centric world," comments Richard Came, marketing director at the Dimension Data Group. "We wanted a partner that combines industrial strength data analysis with innovative communications technology. MicroStrategy is such a company. MicroStrategy's product offerings demonstrate the increasing levels of integration between Dimension Data's key focus areas; communications infrastructure and e-commerce applications."
MicroStrategy solutions have been deployed at a large number of customers in South Africa including ABSA Bank Limited, Affinity Logic, Joshua Doore, The Foschini Group, The Department of Housing, and Vodacom.
"Dimension Data's global reach and dominant position in the South African market, coupled with its focus on communications, electronic business and customer relationship management were key in our decision to partner with them," said Eduardo Sanchez, Vice President of International Operations at MicroStrategy Incorporated. "We believe this partnership will present us with exciting opportunities in the burgeoning South African market."
