Plaut Partners With The World Bank

Plaut Consulting Inc. revealed that it has helped develop a data warehouse solution for the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development(IBRD). IBRD is one of the five associated institutions that form The World Bank Group, an international organization headquartered in Washington, D.C. that is dedicated to reducing poverty and improving living standards for people in the developing world. In partnership with The World Bank Team, Plaut Consulting implemented the SAP Business Information Warehouse software to provide the IBRD with a data warehouse and enhanced reporting capabilities. The solution will initially support 400 users.

Working together with The World Bank Team, Plaut Consulting completed Phase I of the project in only six months. This permitted the IBRD to use SAP BW along with its existing legacy system to support management reporting. By completing Phase II just three months later, Plaut Consulting and The World Bank Team enabled the Institution to utilize SAP BW simultaneously with SAP R/3. This solution made it possible for the IBRD to load its data warehouse not only with legacy data, but also with essential information from R/3, giving the organization a consistent view of all of its data and expanded reporting capabilities.

"Plaut consultants' expertise and extensive knowledge of SAP BW was critical for the timing of our project and helped to ensure a successful roll out," said Luisita Guanlao, manager for The World Bank. "As one of the early adopters of BW, we were fortunate to have as part of the data warehouse team Plaut consultants who mentored the Bank team members on BW. They provided our staff with consulting support, knowledge transfer, and exceptional training, making the transition to SAP BW manageable for us. We plan to have our worldwide users up and running on SAP BW by the end of next year."
