Spotfire Launches Spotfire Forum Website

Spotfire, Inc. has launched Spotfire Forum, a community website located at www.spotfireforum.com. Spotfire Forum is an online community connecting scientists, managers and information technology professionals involved in the process of discovery within such science-based industries such as pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and chemicals.

Spotfire Forum members can download free software plug-ins and source code that expand the usefulness of Spotfire offerings. Examples include plug-in connectors to SAS Institute's SAS system, MathWorks' MATLAB software and MathSoft's S-PLUS software, among others.

It also provides research methodologies through free, downloadable Spotfire scenarios and templates that members can adapt for their own analysis of genomics, high-throughput screening and proteomics data. In addition, Spotfire Forum also hosts discussions on relevant discovery topics.

"Spotfire Forum harnesses the speed and open nature of the Web to foster ideas and explore innovative approaches to discovery analysis," said Dr. Christopher Ahlberg, founder and CEO of Spotfire, Inc. "We believe Spotfire Forum will become an invaluable resource for users to share new methodologies and continuously improve approaches to discovery analysis and decision making."
