OEM PARTNERSHIP UNITES INTRASPECT WITH SAS

Intraspect Software, Inc. announced that SAS Institute has developed a custom interface, powered by Intraspect, for its Collaborative Business Intelligence (CBI) solution. This new interface is called the SAS Collaborative Server. Intraspect delivers a collaborative platform for OEM partners, that can customize and integrate with enterprise applications including business intelligence, data warehousing, and customer relationship management.

"CBI is the strategy for us to deliver business intelligence functionality to a broader audience," said Barrett Joyner, president of SAS Institute, North America. "The quality and reliability of the Intraspect product has made implementing this strategy a seamless process."

The Web-enabled SAS Collaborative Server functions as a business intelligence portal, allowing knowledge workers to access, share, and re-use information. Version 2.5 of the SAS Collaborative Server contains several enhancements over the previous version. It can serve as a personal home page that provides access to reports and business intelligence projects. These reports can be either static or dynamic.

Quaker Chemical Corp., which develops, produces, and markets custom-formulated chemical specialty products and provides fluid management services for manufacturers around the globe, recently selected SAS Institute's CBI solution to create an enterprise-wide desktop portal, QuakerOne.com. QuakerOne.com will connect Quaker employees to global practices, to testing procedures, and to SAS data warehouse output.
