NARUS and SLP InfoWare in Strategic Alliance

NARUS Inc, the pioneer and leading provider of Internet Business Infrastructure (IBI) solutions, and SLP InfoWare, a leading provider of predictive customer relationship management application solutions, announced that they have formed a strategic alliance. This relationship will provide service providers with a comprehensive churn management solution that combines the strengths of highly accurate network usage and information produced by NARUS' IBI solutions with flexible, accurate predictive behavior modeling applications from SLP InfoWare.

The NARUS-SLP InfoWare relationship will allow service providers to better retain customers and realize new revenue opportunities. SLP InfoWare's P-CRM software turns the detailed, real-time information about network usage generated by the NARUS IBI platform into practical, predictive knowledge. This can then be used by service providers to anticipate which customers have a propensity to go elsewhere (i.e. churn) and to take proactive steps, such as developing appropriate offers to retain them, designing and fine-tuning one to one marketing campaigns, identifying bad credit risks, and pursuing cross- selling and up-selling opportunities.

NARUS' IBI solutions consist of the Semantic Traffic Analysis (STA) platform, which gathers and analyzes detailed information about network usage and traffic, as well as solutions, such as the company's Billing Mediation System, which link this critical knowledge to billing systems; and NARUS Intelligence, which transforms the unique information gathered by NARUS STA platform into valuable marketing knowledge and operational information service providers need to guide and shape their business.

"In modeling, predicting, and influencing consumer behavior, we rely on the quality of the data we use. Until now, it has been difficult or impossible to collect the kind of data we need from IP networks. NARUS' IBI solutions deliver the highly accurate usage data that we require in real time, which makes them an excellent complement to SLP InfoWare's industry-leading Predictive Customer Relationship Management applications," said Jerome Nadel, vice president, marketing worldwide of SLP InfoWare. "NARUS Semantic Traffic Analysis (STA) technology and IBI applications enable us to bring our unique churn management and customer management solutions to the dynamic IP services marketplace."

SLP InfoWare's Customer Profiling System (CPS?) Platform provides a core set of automated statistical segmentation, and profiling services as well as fundamental business logic. These scalable capabilities are used by each of the behavioral analysis modules, which perform functions relative to customer behavior identification and predictive modeling for specific behaviors. Each behavior module produces Knowledge Objects that reside in the Knowledge Hub to share this critical customer behavior information across the enterprise.

"The ability to proactively manage churn is increasingly essential for service providers to remain competitive, and NARUS is excited to be teaming with an industry leader such as SLP InfoWare to deliver a powerful joint solution that increases service provider profitability," said Richard Kagan, vice president of marketing at NARUS. "This relationship adds to the growing suite of complete IBI solutions available from NARUS and our valued partners."
