Sybase and DEI Announce New BI Solution

Sybase Inc, and Data Executives International, at the LOMA Systems Forum Financial Services Technology Conference, announced the availability of DEI's new business intelligence, e-commerce and customer relationship management (CRM) solution for the life insurance industry, based on Sybase's Industry Warehouse Studio (IWS) architecture.

The new solution is the life insurance information warehouse extension to DEI's WinRisk software, and combines DEI's expertise in the insurance industry with Sybase's industry-specific data management solutions to offer customers a complete end-to-end data warehouse solution. It is the first product to support the e-commerce life insurance industry through the business acquisition process with CRM business intelligence.

Sybase's IWS helps DEI automate the life insurance e-commerce business acquisition process to allow for a variety of data mining and business intelligence tools, including a Web-based application environment, electronic ordering and interpretation of results, and underwriting case management and data warehousing to support CRM. The new product interfaces with all underwriting requirement vendors and with most life insurance administrative systems.
