Litton TASC Joins Hyperion Partner Program

TASC Inc, a subsidiary of Litton Industries and a leading information technology services provider to the federal government, today announced a partnership with Hyperion, the worldwide leader in business analysis software.

One of Litton TASC's key growth areas is in the business intelligence (BI) market, offering organizations solutions that optimize how they manage vast amounts of data in enterprise systems to support and improve business decisions. TASC clients will be able to leverage Hyperion Essbase OLAP Server, the market-leading, open, cross-platform enterprise OLAP Server, to drive analytic applications in areas such as logistics, budgeting, and supply-chain management.

"Our goal is to help our customers make better business decisions," said J.C. Williams, Litton TASC senior vice president and director of systems development. "These powerful solutions allow, for the first time, the full exploitation of valuable data organizations already have, but haven't been able to easily access. It's an exciting prospect for our customers: the idea of being able to derive better decisions out of business data across the enterprise. Using Hyperion Essbase, TASC helps them quickly access and analyze the right information to make more effective and profitable business decisions."

In addition to expertise with Hyperion Essbase, TASC also provides system integration services for various commercial-off-the shelf (COTS) products, including tools from Oracle, Viador and Citrix. By leveraging the robust analytical power, performance and scalability of Hyperion's OLAP technology with these COTS products, customers gain a robust analytic platform for the reporting, analysis, modeling, and planning applications that executives need to manage their enterprise.

"Through partnerships with vertical leaders such as TASC, Hyperion is committed to providing a range of organizations with the widest flexibility and choice for deploying a broad spectrum of analytic applications," said Steve Fioretti, vice president of marketing for Hyperion. "Customers in the federal market will now have access to TASC's expertise in implementing Hyperion's market-leading business analysis software to speed decision-making across the enterprise."

Joe Russell, manager of decision technologies and business intelligence for TASC, will be a featured speaker at Hyperion's Solution 2000 Conference, the industry's premier analytic application software event, this May in Las Vegas. Russell will present examples of Hyperion Essbase integration into a multi-product business intelligence and decision support platform. For more information on Hyperion, please visit www.hyperion.com.
