Open Text Corp Releases Livelink iRIMS Module

Open Text Corporation, a leading provider of collaborative intranet, extranet and e-business applications, announced the release of its Livelink iRIMS module. The integration of iRIMS and Livelink introduces the industry's first collaborative e-business platform that combines workflow, search and collaboration with full records management capabilities.

With the Livelink iRIMS module, organizations are able to capture and manage b2b transactions, in both document and data format, while maintaining the integrity of the organization's record retention and disposition regulations. The Livelink iRIMS module also provides a secure audit trail of an organization's records, minimizing the risk associated with the management and disposition of records. Open Text acquired iRIMS technology through its acquisition of PSSoftware in 1999. iRIMS record management technology enables organizations to manage the indexing and retrieval of corporate records at an enterprise level across multiple repositories via a standard Web browser. U.S. Department of Defense 5015.2 certified, Livelink iRIMS now provides an internationally recognized standard for Electronic Records Management and adds dynamic collaborative and e-business functionality to the capture and management of records.

The release of the Livelink iRIMS module is part of the release of iRIMS Studio 7.1.6, the latest version of the iRIMS product suite. A fully integrated records management solution, iRIMS Studio 7.1.6 consists of six components including iRIMS Navigator, Storage Manager, File Manager, Retention and Disposition Manager, Web Manager, and Electronic Document Management (EDM). In addition, with iRIMS Studio 7.1.6, users are able to file and view records and all files associated with a record contained in a favorite folder directly from Microsoft Outlook. This new functionality enables users to increase productivity and speed e-business processes by enabling users to work from a single, familiar interface.
