Torrent/Sun Break e-Business Data Analysis Barriers

Torrent Systems Inc, the first provider of scalable solutions for managing and integrating massive volumes of transaction and clickstream data, announced benchmark results. Torrent's Orchestrate analytical application continuously processed over 150 million clickstream records per hour, analyzing a total of more than 1.7 billion clickstream records in eleven hours.

The benchmark test of real-time processing and analysis of Web server log data used Torrent's Orchestrate and the Sun Enterprise 6500. Orchestrate streamed clickstream data collected from more than 200 Web servers through a series of Orchestrate processes--including de-spidering, augmentations, and transformations--and produced 60 aggregations that are critical to categorizing visitors and understanding their behavior.
