Enterprise Computer Systems Offers Safari BI Plus

Enterprise Computer Systems Inc (ECS) and Safari Solutions, a division of Condor Technology Solutions Inc announced a strategic partnership wherein ECS will offer its current and new customers the Safari Business Intelligence Plus suite of products. This offering will give customers the ability to easily access, manipulate and analyze data from a variety of sources over the Web.

The Safari Business Intelligence Plus solution includes Safari.OLAP, an online, fully interactive analytical program built for the Web from the ground up; Safari WebCast, a program that enables users to schedule reports and distribute them securely via the Web; and Safari InfoTools, a powerful data management, access and reporting tool.

ECS, a leading systems integrator for the shelter industry, provides point-of-sale systems and several productivity products for dealers and distributors of building materials. In order to give ECS users the ability to analyze data over the Web, the company has chosen to market Safari Solutions' OnLine Analytical Processing (OLAP) tool to provide its customers with ebusiness intelligence. Once Safari.OLAP is installed on a Web server, customers will use it in conjunction with ECS's Enterprise 4GL product (the first of the ECS products to be Safari-enabled) and pre-built report marts to gain access to heterogeneous data sources, including relational databases and ASCII text files. Desktop client installation is not required. Users can drill down, slice and dice, graph and create reports directly from their Web browser, allowing quick analysis of critical business information.
