Sand's Nucleus Deployed at Word Entertainment

Sand Technology Inc announced that its Nucleus software has been successfully deployed at Word Entertainment, a major music subsidiary of Gaylord Entertainment Inc, for the rapid creation of data marts used for sales and inventory analysis. Nucleus has been integrated with the Oracle production financial system to add the capability of complex, ad hoc querying for business analysis.

Harry Schultz, Director of Application Development at Gaylord, explained that "prior to Nucleus a rather complex method was used to extract and transform data using various tools to get the data ready for query. The process often involved technical assets, dedicated servers and weekend production in order to meet deadlines. Nucleus now provides the capability to 'ask any question any time' with rapid response totally under the control of the end users."
