DMR Consulting Joins Microsoft World-Wide BI PAC

DMR Consulting, a leading global provider of e-consulting services and business solutions, announced that the Microsoft Corp has selected it to serve on the software company's World-Wide Business Intelligence Partner Advisory Council (PAC). DMR Consulting's participation in this PAC will enable it to collaborate with Microsoft on pre-release product and program strategies and provide detailed input and feedback during the planning of Microsoft strategic direction and initiatives.

One of the objectives of the PAC, which consists of representatives from 30 firms from around the world, is to provide leadership to other partners on how to effectively partner in the information technology industry. As part of this PAC, DMR Consulting will help with pilot efforts for many product development, sales and marketing programs. The PAC will create a networking community for industry peers in a collaborative environment.

DMR Consulting was chosen to participate in Microsoft's Business Intelligence PAC because of its long-time experience in building and maintaining large data warehouses in a variety of industries, including telecommunications and financial services. DMR Consulting's Extended Enterprise framework provides a foundation for Business Intelligence solutions because it bypasses the traditional "four walls" of an organization to harvest information from customers and trading partners. This vision provides a context for the creation of truly integrated value chains, enabled by shared electronic applications, which form the operational backbones of business intelligence solutions.

"We are looking forward to the opportunity to help shape Microsoft's strategic direction on business intelligence issues by providing input based on our Extended Enterprise framework and practical, real-world experiences," said Joann Clare, Director, Business Intelligence, DMR Consulting. "Sharing information with other members of the PAC will enable us to leverage collaborative, best practices in the industry - ultimately enhancing our approach to the way we do business and how we serve our clients."

The Business Intelligence Partner Advisory Council will provide key "real world" contacts for and will represent many key customers with Microsoft executives, product and program managers.

"We rely on panels such as the Business Intelligence PAC to supply us with insights into our clients' needs. This sort of input helps us to determine our direction and provide ideas for new features and products," said Chris Cale, Director of Partner Strategy for Microsoft. "Our partners are carefully chosen to ensure a wide representation of our clients and a broad spectrum of new ideas."
