Oracle/Compac Support Over 3000 Simultaneous Users

In an industry benchmarking first, more than 3,000 concurrent users of Oracle Applications 11.03 have been supported on Oracle8i Release 2 using Oracle Parallel Server. This effectively shatters the previous single instance record of 1,792 concurrent users. In addition, the average response time for each of the 3,248 concurrent users is a blisteringly quick 2.23 seconds. The benchmark was completed using Oracle Applications Release 11.03 and Oracle8i Parallel Server Release 2 on 10 Compaq ProLiant 6400R middle tier servers and two ProLiant 6400R database servers. These results (which are the best results obtained so far on any platform) are the first ever published with the Oracle Applications Standard Benchmark on Windows NT.
