SUN, EQUINIX, CISCO AND ADERO TEAM WITH PERSISTENCE

Persistence Software announced four alliances to accelerate the market penetration of its new Dynamai live business cache software. In working with Persistence, Sun Microsystems, Cisco and Adero are supporting the industry's first event-aware caching solution for delivering constantly changing business information. To further drive market acceptance of Dynamai, Persistence has also partnered with Equinix Inc to offer Dynamai as a managed service in Equinix Internet Business Exchange (IBX) centers. These companies join Persistence in recognizing the catalyzing effect that live business caching will have on new classes of dynamic e-commerce applications.

According to Knox, Sun will work initially with Persistence to run qualification and benchmark tests in Sun Labs. The two companies will subsequently engage in joint marketing initiatives to take advantage of the opportunities presented by the combination of live caching and Sun's powerful, carrier-grade Netra servers, used widely by network service providers, ISPs, and telecommunications carriers. Persistence is also partnering with Equinix Inc, the creator and operator of the only neutral Internet Business Exchange (IBX) centers. Persistence will offer Dynamai live business caching as a managed service to Equinix IBX participants. The unique Equinix IBX environment allows the Dynamai managed service offering to be easily integrated into existing network architectures, enabling IBX participants to provision the service quickly, easily and costeffectively.
