WorldView 2000 Conference for Objectivity DB

Objectivity Inc, a leading provider of distributed, scalable databases for mission critical and real-time response applications, shared the details of its upcoming annual user conference scheduled from May 21 - May 23, 2000 at the Hayes Renaissance Conference Center, San Jose, Calif. The featured keynote speaker at this year's event is John McFarlane, president, Network Service Provider Division, Sun Microsystems.

McFarlane, who sits on Objectivity's Board of Directors, will present an overview of the new demands on the Internet. At Sun, he is responsible for delivering comprehensive products and programs to large facilities-based network service providers and network equipment providers. Before heading the Network Service Provider division, McFarlane was president of Solaris Software at Sun. He has been with Sun since May 1997 and was previously at Nortel for 17 years.

McFarlane's WorldView presentation is entitled "Service Providers and the `Net' Economy." He will discuss how service providers have taken on new roles in the converged Internet and telecommunications world, serving up content, commerce and communications to anyone, anywhere, anytime and on any device.
