Sand's Nucleus Selected for e-Commerce Pattern Analysis

Sand Technology Inc announced that its Nucleus product suite has been selected by an internet-based health services company to build a "clickstream" analysis application.

A Nucleus data mart will be used to provide demographic and usage analysis of both visitors and members of the service to help position better e-based marketing.

"The Nucleus technology is ideally-suited to this critical area for ecommerce, as initial usage patterns are unpredictable, and our unique tokenized method of storing and providing data for analysis means that we can build a flexible application very quickly," said Arthur Ritchie, Chief Executive Officer of Sand. "With the rapidly-changing environments of ecommerce providers, Nucleus will give them the ability to react immediately to new demands on their data."

"We are very excited about this new application area for Nucleus," added Jerry Shattner, president of Sand's North American operations. "There is strong demand for this type of customer understanding by all Web-based companies, and we see a high degree of repeatability in the Nucleus approach being implemented here for health services."
