Network Plus Chooses Ace*Comm for DW Solutions

Network Plus, a leading integrated communications provider (ICP) of voice and broadband data business telecommunications products, has announced that it has chosen Ace*Comm Corporation and its data warehousing solutions to provide a solution for its business infrastructure and bill record architecture. The N*Vision product solution will facilitate the coordination of bill data between Network Plus' local and long distance switches and create an organization standard of how all calls are managed.

The deployment of this software package will enable Network Plus to extract billing records in real-time, increasing the efficiency of troubleshooting any network errors between its local and long distance switches. The N*Vision product also enables Network Plus to expedite resolutions on network anomalies as well as give real-time access to call detail records.

"The ability to augment our systems to have a faster ability to troubleshoot network occurrences is pertinent to our business, especially with the large increase of traffic we project over our present and future switches," commented Joseph Larizza, CIO and executive vice president of Operations for Network Plus. "Ace*Comm showed us a reliable organization plan for this endeavor where we can implement a plan of how we look at the calls being made and manage them."

Network Plus currently has operational DMS250 long distance switches in Chicago, IL, and Orlando, FL, DMS 250 and DMS 300 switches in Quincy, MA, and Los Angeles, CA, and Lucent 5ESS local exchange switches in New York, NY, Cambridge, MA, and Miami, FL, with future switches planned in several more markets. Ace*Comm's solution will coordinate between these switches and have the ability to interface with Network Plus' current billing program, giving Network Plus personnel the ability to extract records from one source, rather than multiple sources.

"Network Plus is at the center of our target market for N*Vision," according to Gino Picasso, Ace*Comm's president & Chief Operating Officer. "This product fits the operations needs of growing communications providers who recognize the value of real time, Convergent Mediation and data warehousing solutions in meeting their business, marketing and customer information needs. This system is designed to grow with the service provider and adapt to changing customer service demands. We are very pleased to have been selected by Network Plus and look forward to a successful partnership with them."
