eZiba.com Partners with DecisionPoint Applications

DecisionPoint Applications (DPA), a leading international packaged data warehouse and analytical applications vendor announced that eZiba.com, a leading online brand retailing fine handcrafted products from around the world, will implement DPA's DecisionPoint for Financials. The software will provide detailed line item information linking Order Entry, Inventory, General Ledger and Accounts Receivable data. By leveraging DPA's proven technology, eZiba will have the information it needs to deliver its high quality product range with complete customer satisfaction.

"eZiba's highly specialized needs for data management stem from managing our fragmented supply chain which consists of thousands of direct and indirect sources around the world. Our supply chain must literally move tens of thousands of stock keeping units (SKUs) and ultimately serve a global customer base," said Deborah Jackson, Chief Financial and Operating Officer of eZiba.com. "We need detailed information on which products are selling from various regions, true costs of product availability, and timely analyses of sales and inventory. After a thorough due diligence process headed by Jeff VanderClute, we are confident that DPA will underpin our success."

"DecisionPoint for Financials gives eZiba access to the detailed data and analytical capabilities they sought within their order entry, inventory, general ledger, and accounts receivable," said Marc Demarest, CEO of DecisionPoint Applications Inc. "DPA offers companies like eZiba a clearly superior alternative to long and costly in-house developed data warehouse projects that have lower success probabilities and very high second order operations and management costs. This gives eZiba a scalable data warehouse infrastructure that supports their rapid growth. They can quickly add modules to an already built infrastructure."

About eZiba.com

eZiba.com launched November 9, 1999, as the premier online catalog and global bazaar, offering an exclusive and constantly changing selection of authentic handcrafted items created by artisans from around the world. The product offering -- available through an online catalog and themed auctions -- ranges from home furnishings, accessories, and apparel to art and artifacts, gifts, and toys. Blending education, entertainment, and e-commerce, the Web site is designed to inform and inspire the shopper with a presentation rich in cultural context, and with content that conveys the story and the people behind each object. In March, eZiba announced a $70 million round of financing led by Amazon.com; the online retailer will introduce eZiba's product offerings to its more than 20 million customers. eZiba.com is headquartered at MASS MoCA, a museum of contemporary art and high-tech center in North Adams, Massachusetts.
