India's Pentasoft Opens Development Center

India's Pentasoft Technologies Ltd, formerly Pentafour Communications Ltd, has opened a 30,000 sq.ft software development center at Secundrabad in the southern state of Andhra Pradesh. The center would focus on Web-related software development and education, a company press release said.

The center, company chairman V. Chandrasekaran said, would seek to tie up with companies abroad for development of tools relating to data warehousing and data mining. Further, it would engage in e-business and e-governance projects.

The development center would also offer high-end software courses and training in Web-based tools and methodologies.

D. Kannan, director and chief executive officer, said Pentasoft would work with the Andhra Pradesh government in health care, urban development, wasteland development, water resources management, highway and transport projects and disaster management.

It will also project the government's activities through its broadcast portal, www.numtv.com.
