SAP AG/Dun & Bradstreet Introduce D&B Mktg Universe

SAP AG, a leading provider of enterprise application solutions, and Dun & Bradstreet, a world leading provider of business information, announced the development of D&B Marketing Universe for SAP Business Information Warehouse (SAP BW). This new solution combines SAP's latest SAP BW software with D&B's global database of over 58 million businesses to help companies better understand their current customers, locate new market opportunities and ultimately maximize the effectiveness of their marketing spending.

This new collaboration between SAP AG and D&B allows users to create a detailed profile of their ideal customer, and thereby:

SAP BW provides the Business Information Warehouse for companies to load in customer transaction and master data from SAP R/3 or a number of other on-line transaction-processing systems. D&B Marketing Universe for SAP BW can evaluate data from SAP BW against the universe of potential customers in D&B's database of over 58 million businesses worldwide. Companies can easily pinpoint targeted prospects by carefully examining the given information on their current best customers. Using this information, companies can then search the entire D&B database for their own unique "universe" of best prospects based on criteria such as geography, industry, size, revenue, and a multitude of other data elements. The end result is a set of targeted prospects tailored for a sales or marketing campaign which can then be fed from the SAP BW software back into the user's CRM system.

Subsequently, a user can view the full corporate family tree of a best customer, presenting the user with an easy point of entry into many potential new clients linked physically to a current customer success.

D&B Marketing Universe for SAP BW makes full use of the graphical and mapping functionality standard to SAP BW release 2.0B and greater. In addition to the standard queries, charts and maps, new reports can readily be generated and customized.
