DataProfit announced that it has teamed with Cognos, one of the world's largest and most successful business intelligence companies, to jointly develop an "auto-configure solution" that helps companies quickly implement the popular Cognos Finance application. The new "Quick Configurator for Cognos Finance" can dramatically reduce the time, custom programming, and manual intervention needed for J.D. Edwards customers to gain maximum business value from Cognos Finance. Quick Configurator for Cognos Finance helps gather financial information from J.D. Edwards enterprise software and it automates the building of necessary configurable fields within the Cognos Finance toolset. Once Cognos Finance is up and running, the Quick Configurator automatically extracts the necessary organizational and financial information on an ongoing basis and it conveys the data to the finance software.
