Visual Analytics Awarded Several High-Tech Contracts

Visual Analytics Inc (VAI), a privately held Maryland firm and a leading provider of visual data mining, information technology, and system development and integration services, announced that is has further strengthened its position within the data mining and information technology industry with the recent awards of several high-technology contracts.

Expanding on its existing client-base, VAI has received contract extensions from the Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) to provide analytical support systems for law enforcement agencies. Under these efforts, VAI will support a number of state and local law enforcement agencies by providing analytical services and systems to help analyze their criminal databases. Specifically, VAI will deploy their flagship product, VisuaLinks (a cutting edge link-analysis and visualization system), to complex crime databases to expose the networks of hidden patterns and trends.

Visual Analytics also serves defense and commercial industries and has recently won new contracts with the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) to develop and support a suite of counter-drug analytical systems. This was complimented with an award from the DoD's prestigious think tank, Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), for anti-terrorism threat analysis and pattern detection systems. VAI is also working with the Department of Treasury's Financial Crimes Enforcement Center (FinCEN) to develop data mining strategies to detect fraud and help expose money laundering organizations.

Additionally, VAI has been awarded their GSA and Millennia Lite (CACI) contract vehicles giving government customers greater accessibility to their services and products. VAI has also been performing engagements with several new commercial customers. They were awarded contracts with Sunburst Hospitality Suites for Intranet development and network security, Deloitte & Touche for forensic accounting and anomaly detection, and Cambridge for network configuration and support.
