Information Builders Receives Second ISO 9000 Cert

Information Builders, a global leader in combined Web reporting and enterprise integration solutions known as i-business, was recently awarded ISO 9000 Certification a second time for the Quality Management System of its industry-leading WebFOCUS Business Intelligence solution.

The recent ISO 9000 recertification exemplifies Information Builders' continued commitment to quality management practices and standards. These standards ensure that vendor products and services consistently perform to clients' quality requirements. Information Builders initially registered as an ISO 9000 compliant software manufacturer on June 3, 1999.

Bureau Veritas Quality International (BVQI) vice president Bill Poliseo presented the certification to Information Builders CEO Gerald Cohen. International Organization for Standards (ISO) independent, accredited, third-party registrar BVQI of Jamestown, New York was selected by Information Builders to assess, audit and register its WebFOCUS Quality Management System. BVQI's audit included examining, on a sample basis, evidence supporting the existence of a documented and implemented Quality Management System against ISO standards.

ISO is a worldwide federation in 130 countries, established in 1947 and headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland. Within ISO, a country is represented by its national standards body. The American National Standards Institute (ANSI), for example, represents the United States. Information Builders joins the prestigious ranks of other software industry leaders who have achieved continuous ISO 9000 Certification, including Microsoft, Oracle, and PeopleSoft.
