Ben Heavey Joins NCorpNCorp has appointed a senior e-business and customer service specialist to spearhead the company`s pre-sales activities, as well as account and project management services. This follows a number of six-figure contract wins in the company`s first three months of operation. Ben Heavey joins as senior project consultant from IT management consultancy, DRUID Systems Ltd, where he was a senior consultant. His role included developing and implementing business solutions ranging from ebusiness integration and business-to-business procurement to core back-office and logistics ERP solutions. He therefore brings extensive, end-to-end knowledge of both e-business strategy and technology, as well as its impact on the customer service environment. Heavey`s primary role at NCorp will be to drive the development of the company`s offerings in both the e-commerce and corporate markets. These are based on NCorp`s core intuitive technology, which maximises the unexploited potential of data to ensure interaction between user and database is more intelligent and intuitive. "Users can and should expect a better online experience, whether it be in the discovery or purchasing process," said Heavey. "NCorp can deliver the type of intuitive interaction that truly empowers the consumer, and so strengthens customer loyalty. My role is to ensure that both a professional delivery capability and the ability to understand, meet and exceed customer expectations are in place. This combination is crucial, and will help to ensure NCorp`s success." "As a spin-off company launched in February 2000, we have been extremely successful in winning business and raising awareness" said Emma Barnes, head of operations at NCorp. "To service our new and future clients effectively we need to draft in highly experienced, senior specialist consultants. Ben has a superb academic and business background, and is used to working at a high pace and handling complex projects." "We needed someone who could hit the ground running, and Ben fits the bill perfectly. His ability to address problems on both technical and strategic levels will help us to build a strong link between sales and technology - ensuring clients receive quality consultancy which is highly relevant to their needs and concerns," she continued. NCorp`s technology automatically interprets and manipulates database content by applying powerful pattern recognition algorithms. It offers matches or meaningful alternatives to user requests, deduces user preferences and notifies them of relevant information - significantly improving the interaction between the user and the database. NCorp, founded in February 2000, is a spin-off from pattern recognition expert, Neurodynamics. It has received GBP5 million in backing from venture capitalist Apax Partners, one of the world`s largest private equity companies dedicated to high performance, entrepreneurial businesses. NCorp follows other successful Neurodynamics spin-offs including Autonomy Plc and Neurascript Ltd. NCorp customers include Estates Gazettes interactive, the first online commercial property site, and Planetrecruit.com, one of the top three online recruitment organizations in the UK.
