Sand's Nucleus Featured in Industry-Leading Publication

In their latest collaboration, industry experts Bill Inmon, Claudia Imhoff, and Robert Terdeman have described Exploration Warehouses as "a revolutionary new approach to unearthing business opportunities". The 254-page textbook, from authors generally acknowledged as three of the definitive establishers of data warehousing direction, endorses Nucleus as a key to the implementation of Business Intelligence applications.

Bill Inmon, the "father of data warehousing", developed the concept of Exploration Warehousing after his exposure to and understanding of Nucleus potential. In an earlier article published on the topic, he referred to Nucleus as "one of the most powerful technological advances since the inception of computer technology". Co-author Claudia Imhoff, senior vice president of Braun Consulting, noted, "Nucleus will cause all of us to rethink our data warehouse/data mart design, construction and usage. It revolutionizes the database market by finally giving us a technology to easily, efficiently and inexpensively perform the difficult but very rewarding process of mining our data-a process that previously was all but impossible."

According to Arthur Ritchie, CEO of Sand Technology, "this textbook, published by John Wiley and Sons, is a further example of the beginning of Nucleus's widespread adoption by Information Technology specialists around the world. Recent endorsements by KPMG, Andersen Consulting, and others signal the move of Nucleus into mainstream IT solutions."

Copies of "Exploration Warehousing" may be ordered through most booksellers, and are also available at Sand Technology's online store at www.sandtechnology.com/shop.
