Amdocs' Software Enhances Customer Retention at Cellcom

Amdocs, a world leading provider of customer care, billing and order management solutions for communications and Internet services, recently announced that it has implemented a data mining-based application for enhancing customer loyalty at Cellcom, a leading mobile provider to more than 1.5 million customers in Israel.

The Amdocs Ensemble Business Insight modules, which won awards at the KDD99 CUP for Knowledge Discovery products, utilize sophisticated data mining and knowledge discovery technology to uncover otherwise indiscernible patterns of customer behavior and to identify high-value customers with a high risk of churning. Using this information, Cellcom can focus its proactive marketing campaigns on these high-value customers. The Amdocs software has improved the efficiency of Cellcom's proactive customer contacts by 15 to 20 times. Today, Cellcom reports levels of loyalty and customer retention that well exceed the industry average.

Yael Lipman, Chief Information Officer at Cellcom notes: "Customer loyalty is a Number One priority for all mobile providers operating in a competitive environment. The Amdocs system helps us focus our efforts in cultivating customer loyalty."

Norman Rafalowitz, Amdocs senior vice president, International Marketing: "The Amdocs project at Cellcom was characterized by an outstanding level of cooperation between Amdocs and Cellcom. In path-breaking technology projects, such as this, there is no substitute for working as a partner with the customer, with a full and open exchange of ideas and knowledge."
