Data Distilleries Appoints VP Product DevelopmentData Distilleries, a European market leader in Analytical Customer Relationship Management solutions, has taken on Paul Weghorst as vice president of Product Development. In this position, Weghorst will focus on further professionalization and growth of the Product Development department. Paul Weghorst was previously director of software developer Utopics, which was acquired by Ordina in 1995. Utopics is a spin-off of the University of Twente, just as Data Distilleries was set up at the time as a spin-off of the Centre for Mathematics and Computer Science (CWI) in Amsterdam. With this as his background, Weghorst will be contributing a substantial amount of know-how from the world of financial services, in which Data Distilleries is active. After his service with Utopics, Weghorst became IT manager at the University Medical Centre in Utrecht, a large health care institution where he headed a department of over seventy IT staff. Weghorst's primary challenge is to develop Data Distilleries from a medium-sized to a large organization. Not only does he have comprehensive knowledge of the IT sector and financial services, he also knows what is needed to steer the expansion of Data Distilleries in the rapidly growing CRM market towards success.
