Healthcare.com Licenses Multiple Cloverleaf Gateways

Healthcare.com Corporation, a leading healthcare integration software and services company, announced an agreement to license multiple Cloverleaf Gateways to Synermedics, an innovative HIS (Healthcare Information Systems) ASP (Applications Service Provider) that provides remotely hosted financial and clinical information management, workflow, medical imaging and document imaging applications to hospitals using "thin client" architecture.

Cloverleaf will enable Synermedics to integrate disparate applications by linking hospitals' legacy systems to PortalMed, Synermedics' Internet Portal. The deep functionality and modular design of Synermedics' Portal creates the centerpiece for comprehensive, centrally managed, Internet-based, end-to-end healthcare connectivity solutions. This positions Synermedics as an "infomediary" providing content and connectivity to facilitate information exchange by hosting best-of-breed applications in a fully integrated fashion. The "thin client" architecture of the Portal permits Synermedics' customers to access hosted applications through a simple Internet browser with an inexpensive appliance or existing PC, eliminating the need for future expensive hardware and software upgrades.
