Hyperion eCRM Product Uncovers Cust Web Behaviors

To help e-businesses identify and attract customers and improve the effectiveness of their one-to-one marketing efforts, Hyperion, a leading provider of business analysis software, announced the immediate availability of Hyperion Web Site Analysis Suite.

A new product within Hyperion's eCRM analysis family of products, Hyperion Web Site Analysis Suite gives organizations a greater level of e-intelligence by transforming analysis beyond counting clicks or Web page hits. The sophisticated analysis capabilities in Hyperion Web Site Analysis Suite allow business users to understand visitor browsing patterns, page duration, repeat visitor behavior, referral page effectiveness, and visitor entry/exit points. By gaining a comprehensive view into a visitor's interaction on a Web site, organizations can optimize a visitor's online experience, refine their Web strategy and online marketing initiatives, and maximize site effectiveness and return on investment.

"The increased demand for Web site analysis solutions is being fueled by an increasing focus on accountability for the investments made in e-business, as well as demand from Web site visitors and customers who are expecting a better overall experience," said Henry Morris, vice president for Data Warehousing and Knowledge Management at IDC. "Web site analysis will need to be linked to B-C as well as B-B systems. Hyperion, in providing a broad suite of analytic applications that span front and back office processes, is well-positioned to meet this need."

Powered by the market-leading Hyperion Essbase OLAP Server, Hyperion Web Site Analysis Suite lets e-businesses discover how long visitors stay on profitable pages, and how often and quickly they return. Users can also compare the effectiveness of referral sites, by identifying sites that attract the most visitors and determining the revenues generated by those sites. Hyperion Web Site Analysis Suite also tracks visitor behavior on pages that generate a positive return for a business, such as shopping cart checkout pages, special promotional pages and visitor registration forms.

"The Internet economy is fueling enormous investments in Web sites for online marketing, customer support and sales, and it is imperative for organizations to understand and optimize these systems in order to attract and retain customers and drive profitability," said Mindy Fiorentino, vice president of marketing for Hyperion's eCRM division. "Hyperion Web Site Analysis Suite transforms enormous volumes of detailed Web site data into a precise picture of Web site penetration and visitor behavior, enabling deeper insights into customers, better decision-making and an increased return on investment."

"We chose Hyperion's solution because we believe it will allow us to more effectively market our information services at Fatbrain.com," said John Olson, vice president of engineering of Fatbrain.com. "It will also give us the ability to identify, attract and retain customers that are browsing our comprehensive catalog of professional books, product documentation, sales collateral, training, and other materials. We believe Hyperion's eCRM products will uniquely meet our business needs."

"To effectively attract and retain customers, eBusiness sites must effectively deliver targeted content," said Patrick Finn, director of business development for Interwoven, a Hyperion Alliance Partner. "Hyperion Web Site Analysis Suite, in conjunction with Interwoven TeamSite, will enable businesses to effectively analyze visitor traffic patterns and adapt the content to meet the customer's needs."

Hyperion Web Site Analysis Suite is immediately available, running on Windows NT, Windows 2000, IBM AIX and Sun Solaris. The interactive graphical user interface supports both Microsoft and Netscape browsers on all browser operating systems.
