NCR and Hummingbird Sign Global Referral Agreement

Hummingbird Ltd, a world-leading enterprise software solutions company, and data warehousing leader NCR Corporation, announced a global referral agreement whereby the firms will co-operatively market their respective offerings. Hummingbird's Enterprise Portal Suite, which includes Genio Suite and BI/Suite, can be leveraged to optimize the performance of Teradata data warehouses, boosting the value of these offerings to our common customers. The combination of the companies' respective offerings will benefit current and future customers, as well as creating new growth opportunities for both companies.

Hummingbird has a rich legacy with NCR and its Teradata platform. From the earliest incarnations, Genio Suite and BI/Suite have supported access to Teradata. Genio Suite directly accesses Teradata's bulk loaders, optimizing load management for complex warehouses. Within the product development cycle, Teradata's powerful engine has been used to test and enhance the enterprise scalability of Genio. Specifically, Teradata was used as a development benchmark, validating Genio Suite's ability to perform beyond the limits set by conventional databases and data integration tools.
