Microsoft Passes on JOLAP Initiative
Microsoft Corp has declined to participate in the so-called JOLAP
initiative, led by Hyperion Solutions Corp, IBM, Oracle Corp and Sun
Microsystems Inc, deriding it as an "anti-Microsoft marketing effort." The
JOLAP initiative calls for the development of a standard Java-based
interface for creating, storing, accessing and managing data and metadata in
OLAP servers.
