Subhash Kak Joins Redwood Advisory Board

Redwood, an Information Distillation company whose mission is to help businesses solve the information overload problem via its innovative Redwood Platform with Wireless-enabled technology, announced that Subhash Kak, a professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at LSU, Baton Rouge, will join the company as a technical advisor.

Originally from Kashmir, Dr. Kak has worked at IIT Delhi, Imperial College, Bell Laboratories and the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research. He has written ten books, including The Nature of Physical Reality and Advances in Computing and Control, and over three hundred articles in areas as varied as neural networks, quantum physics, artificial intelligence, the philosophy and history of science and the influence of astronomy and early computing on culture.

His current interest in neural networks and their applications to Internet search, signal prediction, data compression and his recent invention of instantaneous neural networks (INNs) are synergistic with Redwood's development initiatives in the area of intelligent agents.
