MindfulEye.com Partners with Microsoft Canada

MindfulEye Inc announced a partnership between its subsidiary, MindfulEye.com Systems Inc, and Microsoft Canada Co under the Canadian Rapid Deployment Program, a local initiative which, together with the Microsoft Corporate Program, launches the new Microsoft SQL Server 2000, scheduled for complete availability September 2000.

SQL Server 2000 is the data management and analysis backbone for Microsoft's planned series of .NET applications and services. The Server is tailored to rapidly deliver Web-enabled applications for e-commerce, data warehousing and line of business that are highly scalable and reliable.

"SQL Server 2000 is the one product that we are confident can support our enormous content storage and real time analysis needs as we gear up to launch our subscription-based, Internet monitoring and alert service for the North American investment community," said Todd Cusolle, chief technology officer of MindfulEye.

"It will give us a faster time to market, and its features will provide a distinct competitive advantage," added Cusolle. "Like the SQL Server 7 we are migrating from, we know it will be reliable, easy to maintain and highly supported by Microsoft service. Most significantly, it will answer our requirement for infinite scalability."

MindfulEye selected the SQL Server 2000 for several of its key features, including data mining, distributed partitioned views, XML, data transformation services, full-text searching and replication. The Server will interoperate with the company's other Microsoft products, including IIS, VB and C++ COM components and Windows 2000. Under the Rapid Deployment Program, MindfulEye will complete its migration to the new Server by the end of the year, several months ahead of widescale adoption.

"Up to this point, SQL Server 2000 has received unprecedented quality assurance testing, including work with tens of thousands of beta customers. Microsoft itself has been running its critical business operations on the Server for more than six months. But this is the truly exciting period, when the product is ready to go and companies like MindfulEye can run with it. We look forward to supporting and following MindfulEye's experience with the SQL Server 2000."
