Meta Releases WorkForecaster for Operations Managers

Meta Software Corporation announced the release of its operations management tool, WorkForecaster. WorkForecaster provides operations managers with a rapid way to analyze the impact of changes in work volumes and/or staff schedules. The tool incorporates Meta's WorkFlow Simulator simulation technology for planning workload and staffing requirements, and has been successfully tested at several banks and other financial institutions.

"WorkForecaster helps managers quickly solve work-processing bottlenecks in operations areas where significant business penalties are levied if customer service deadlines are not met--especially check-processing, remittance, credit card, and other consumer finance processing operations," said Robert Seltzer, president of Meta Software. "A key WorkForecaster output is a staff schedule that has been designed to meet specific deadlines given an actual or forecasted workload. This means better utilization of staff resources--a major factor in reducing costs and meeting service requirements."

Meta has included a wide range of standard reports that incorporate its 50 man-years of experience in applying simulation to study financial service workflow performance. Additionally, Meta has implemented a flexible reporting facility that allows many different views of the underlying data.
