Mindwave Research Selects SPSS Market Research Solutions

Web-based market research agency Mindwave Research Inc recently selected SPSS Inc's Quancept Web and Verbastat software solutions to enhance its Web-based research architecture and provide survey services via the Internet. The company conducts approximately 60 percent of its research using the Web.

"Internet research can reduce the costs of traditional surveys by as much as 25 percent in both time and expense," said Kevin Mefford, technology director for Mindwave Research Inc. "As a result, our customers are moving towards Web-based research methodologies, and they expect equal if not better functionality from Internet surveys. SPSS is the only company that offers the advanced Web-based software solutions that we require for designing and conducting customized research for our customers."

With Quancept Web software, developed by SPSS MR, the market research arm of SPSS, Mindwave Research is now able to offer customers Internet surveys with functionality previously available only with phone surveys. For example, sophisticated design, data checking and data collection capabilities ensure surveys are filled out completely and accurately. Additionally, Mindwave can prepare responses for analysis as they are given and can provide its clients with secure online access to analysis results.

Mindwave Research uses Verbastat in its data collection process and to automate the processing of open-ended responses, thus saving both time and money as well as reducing coding errors. The agency then uses SPSS 10.0 for Windows software to analyze the data from Verbastat and produce analysis reports for customers.
