WhiteLight and Actuate Announce Strategic OEM Agreement

At the Actuate International User Conference, WhiteLight Systems, a leading provider of next-generation analytic applications, announced a strategic OEM relationship with Actuate Corporation, a information delivery market leader. WhiteLight has integrated the Actuate e.Reporting Suite into iApplicationServer, the newest addition to WhiteLight's Analytic Application Suite version 2.6. iApplicationServer tightly integrates the functionality of Actuate's information delivery solution with the advanced analytic capabilities of WhiteLight software.

"WhiteLight chose Actuate as the foundation for iApplicationServer because of its innovative information delivery technology for e-Business and its leading position in the market," said Dennis McGinn, chief executive officer of WhiteLight. "Actuate brings the flexibility and scalability necessary to enable our next-generation analytic applications to benefit a much broader range of business users."

"With this agreement, Whitelight becomes the latest e-Business leader to recognize information delivery technology as vital to every packaged software application and e-Business platform," said Pete Cittadini, president and chief executive officer of Actuate. "Whitelight has extended the boundaries of utilization for Actuate's information delivery solutions, which will help us improve future versions of Actuate products. WhiteLight's tight integration of Actuate technology will allow customers to better access and utilize the unique capabilities of WhiteLight's Analytic Application Suite."

With WhiteLight Analytic Application Suite version 2.6, WhiteLight has extended the capabilities of its industry-leading analytic software to benefit a broader range of business users. Customers can now access WhiteLight AnalyticServer, the core component of the suite, via a Web-based thin client: iApplicationServer. iApplicationServer goes beyond traditional Web reporting by enabling users to capture user-entered data for planning, forecasting and "what-if" analysis. WhiteLight software allows companies to not only diagnose what has happened in their businesses, but also predict what is likely to happen next and even prescribe potential courses of action.
