CA Receives Patent for ManageIT SQL-Station

Computer Associates International Inc announced it has received a patent for its SQL-based application creation and optimization solution, which has been incorporated into ManageIT, the first integrated suite of intelligent application and database management solutions for eBusiness.

ManageIT SQL-Station is the only client/server product that integrates all aspects of SQL-based application development including database administration, coding, debugging, tuning, testing, monitoring and implementation. It significantly improves developer productivity and optimizes application performance, thus increasing the return on investment for Internet development projects. TurboTuner, a new "push button" SQL generator, optimizes Oracle SQL and PL/SQL statements to ensure that applications run even faster.

"Today's enterprises need to build quality applications quickly without having to support and manage multiple point products and freeware," said Jim Jackson, ManageIT product manager. "CA offers IT managers a powerful and unique solution for building high-performance, SQL-based eBusiness applications with optimum quality and resource-efficiency. The fact that we've been awarded a patent for ManageIT SQL-Station is evidence of just how innovative and powerful a solution it is."

Deployed individually, ManageIT solutions offer superior functionality to overcome specific IT management challenges. As part of CA's fully integrated ManageIT suite, the solutions greatly simplify the end-to-end administration and management of increasingly diverse and complex eBusiness environments.

Computer Associates International Inc, one of the world's leading business software companies, delivers the end-to-end infrastructure to enable eBusiness through innovative technology, services and education. CA has 20,000 employees worldwide and had revenue in excess of $6 billion for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2000. For more information, visit www.ca.com.
