TreasuryPoint.com Launches The Optimizer Analytical Tool

TreasuryPoint.com, pioneered by SEI Investments as the first business-to-business Website for corporate treasury professionals, has launched the Optimizer, an advanced analytical tool that helps treasurers improve short-term investing and borrowing decisions based on lowest cost or best return. After four years of research, development and a successful beta trial with Sealy Corporation, which continues as a client, the Optimizer is now available for subscription. Concurrently, TreasuryPoint.com announced the signing of Pacific Coast Feather Company, a manufacturer of high-end bedding products, as a client.

The Optimizer, TreasuryPoint.com's premier offering, is a sophisticated artificial intelligence decision-making support tool. Using daily information about a company's financial situation that the treasurer inputs, plus live feeds from current rate and financial market data sources, the Optimizer analyzes a company's short-term investing or borrowing choices and calculates its optimal choices over a one- to 90-day period. The Optimizer's recommendations resulted in lower cost of funds and increased investment returns in all live tests and historical case studies.

In addition to the Optimizer, TreasuryPoint.com features up-to-the-minute treasury market data, expert commentary and editorial and educational content targeted to corporate treasury professionals. Next month, TreasuryPoint.com will debut a trading platform for institutional money market funds.

"After extensive development and testing, it's gratifying to see the Optimizer doing exactly what it was designed to do, saving time and money, and bringing discipline to our clients' treasury process," said Dennis McGonigle, executive vice president of SEI Investments. "When clients like Pacific Coast Feather take advantage of the Optimizer's 30-day free trial, they realize that there simply isn't a better way to manage their cash."

TreasuryPoint.com (www.treasurypoint.com) brings together the information, tools and analytics treasury professionals need to make and execute balance sheet decisions. Launched in October 1999, the site was developed by SEI Investments.

SEI Investments (www.seic.com) is a global financial services firm serving corporations, banks, insurance companies, unions, foundations and endowments with a wide array of technology and investment services. The company manages/administers over $258.6 billion in assets.
