Kroger Co Selects IBM for its Data Warehouse Needs

IBM said the Kroger Co, the nation's largest grocery retailer, has chosen IBM to provide the infrastructure platform for Kroger's enterprise-wide decision support data warehouse.

The multi-million dollar project has Kroger powering its data warehouse with IBM DB2 Universal Database Version 7 on an IBM RS/6000 SP with storage provided by an IBM "Shark" Enterprise Storage Server. The project also includes IBM Business Intelligence Consulting & Services.
