Silvon Unveils Website Performance Analysis Application

Silvon Software Inc announced the availability of an e-business analysis solution that will be marketed and sold under Silvon's Stratum suite of business performance management software applications. The new software module seamlessly captures clickstream and CRM data from a user's Web site, stores and organizes the data in a central repository, and provides the analytics required to help businesses measure their Web site and Web store effectiveness.

"The e-Business Performance Management module of Stratum empowers companies to scrutinize their Web sites and maximize their opportunities in the e-commerce marketplace in many ways," said Michael J. Hennel, president and CEO of Silvon. "It allows our customers to see if their Web visitors are finding what they want quickly or leaving their sites prematurely because of long download times or lengthy registration processes. It also empowers our customers to attract, retain and generate continuous profitability from their clients. This is accomplished by giving them the analytics they need to identify visitor and customer buying patterns, analyze promotional effectiveness, and measure the overall impact of their e-business activities on short- and long-term corporate goals."

The Stratum e-Business Performance Management module includes several pre-packaged analytical views and reports addressing these areas:

  • Page Analysis - such as most/least frequently viewed pages, pages not downloaded in full, page-to-page analysis, and average time to download a page
  • Visitor Analysis - including, but not limited to, number of visits per day, number of unique visitors a day, first-time vs. repeat visitors, number of people who visit and don't come back, number of visitors who register, top visitors by value or quantity, and number of visitors who only place single orders
  • Entry Point Analysis - including where visitors come from and the search criteria they used to find the site
  • Internal Search Analysis - including commonly used search criteria and whether visitors were successful or unsuccessful in using this criteria
  • Item Analysis - including the items most commonly viewed, top/bottom items by order value, and items ordered by visitor geography
  • e-Order Analysis - including the value/quantity of orders, abandoned orders, and trends related to actual items ordered
  • Combined Analysis with other Stratum Modules - allowing companies to analyze the percentage of revenue from different sales channels, items sold by channel, customer sales by channel, existing and new customers moving between channels and promotional performance by channel, among many other things.
