DataFlux Selected by Network AssociatesDataFlux Corporation, an award-winning developer of data cleansing and integration software, announced that Network Associates Inc has selected and implemented DataFlux's dfPower Studio software to streamline maintenance procedures on its database of corporate customers. Network Associates was searching for a cost effective, flexible and user-friendly solution to improve the accuracy, consistency and usability of critical data for its unique applications. Tony Fisher, president of DataFlux, commented, "We are quite pleased to add a world-renowned company like Network Associates to DataFlux's already distinguished client list. Our leading edge technologies have enabled numerous marquee clients to improve their data quality and increase the overall value of their data. Network Associates provides a showcase for the advanced features of DataFlux's dfPower Studio software." Network Associates Inc of Santa Clara, CA, a leading supplier of security and availability solutions for e-business, was looking for a more efficient way to clean duplicates and cross-reference a Computer Intelligence (CI) relational database with its database of corporate customers for enterprise reporting purposes. Running SQL Server 7 on a Windows NT platform, Network Associates' database of corporate customers contained approximately one-half million names and related information. In the past, Network Associates ran specific SQL statements to reduce duplicates, but that process only worked with an entire data field, and did not provide the flexibility to work with data at the phrase level. DataFlux dfPower Studio enables users to cleanse and integrate data at the phrase level, which also enabled Network Associates to cross-reference data with the CI database containing additional information about customers and prospects. Shannon Mabry, technical lead database administrator for Network Associates, stated, "We had been looking at some other products, but the cost was extremely high compared to that of DataFlux's products. In addition, the match code features of DataFlux allow us to get additional information about the customer or prospect by cross-referencing to our CI data. These other products would have taken up to three days to install and configure versus DataFlux dfPower Studio, which took less than an hour." DataFlux's technology platform is a sophisticated, practical, practiced pattern recognition technology. The award-winning, point and click technology provides organizations the ability to: eliminate duplicate records in large databases; intuitively identify and correct anomalies where inconsistencies, misspellings or transposed characters exist; provide data enhancement, data standardization and data integration between multiple databases; and verify, correct and augment mailing addresses in both batch and real-time.
