SEARCHSPACE LAUNCHES AI-BASED BUSINESS OPERATING SYSTEM

Searchspace is the first company to take artificial intelligence technology to the heart of modern business with the launch of its Intelligent Enterprise Framework (IEF). With the huge volumes of electronic transactions being processed daily, there is a need for a new breed of intelligent software capable of making decisions and acting automatically.

Searchspace has designed an intelligent software framework that links into all of a company's existing legacy systems and intelligently monitors every single transaction to build an evolving picture of the organization and its customers. This system is called the Intelligent Enterprise Framework, and by continually expanding its understanding of each particular business and its customers, the software can automate core business decisions while treating electronic customers as real individuals.

IEF will automate core operational issues faced by large enterprises such as attraction and retention of customers, management of risk through effective processes and controls, compliance and business reporting, and identification of new business opportunities across the enterprise.

"Software is coming of age in terms of what it can do for an organization. Finally we are seeing the emergence of a technology that can play an active role in the management of a company -- improving service, introducing customer dialog and delivering efficiencies," said Konrad Feldman, CEO of Searchspace, "This allows large organizations to treat and understand customers as individuals -- just like they did when they were small organizations. It means they can coordinate their actions across products and geographies, understanding differences and adapting quickly to changes. It also means that large organizations can now have a systematic approach to both risk and opportunity."

IEF is a framework of software that connects existing enterprise management systems and provides a complete end-to-end automated solution through six key processes:

  • Integration. The IEF gathers the transactions that flow through and are stored within an enterprise. The framework integrates with existing systems, such as accounting, billing, CRM, data marts, and HR systems.
  • An Intelligent Data Warehouse. The data is then validated and cleaned before being transferred into an Intelligent Data Warehouse, which remodels the data and optimizes storage in order to support active analysis. This is fully product based and is optimized within the product.
  • The Adaptive Profiling Engine (APE) uses the data within the Intelligent Data Warehouse to generate behavioral profiles for all salient business entities. In this way, a multi-dimensional profile can be constructed, based on a specific customer, product or branch. As each new transaction is loaded into the Intelligent Data Warehouse, the APE updates the profile without the need for human intervention.
  • Sentinels are business application specific, plug in modules. They are trained to monitor particular types of transactions and activities, such as sales opportunities, audit concerns, operational risk, compliance management or fraud detection. The Sentinels patrol all the transactions across the enterprise looking for activity that requires further investigation or action. The Sentinels also provide a full audit trail by breaking down decision paths and the reason and context for decisions.
  • An Action Manager is used to control the dissemination of information and is able to distribute notifications directly to devices, such as pagers, mobile phones, e-mails or corporate Intranets.
  • To manage events effectively, an Escalation Manager can also be used to make sure that notifications are being actioned correctly and within an acceptable timeframe.

Additional benefits of the Searchspace Intelligent Enterprise Framework include:

  • Performance and Scalability. The IEF is built upon distributed tier architecture, ensuring maximum performance and scalability.
  • Robustness and Recoverability. The distributed n-tier architecture is designed for robustness and mission critical operation allowing data, judgment and action recovery.
  • Flexibility and Configuration. IEF has been designed to provide a completely open architecture, enabling companies to leverage their existing IT infrastructure and work with preferred platform vendors. IEF can be integrated with most commonly used hardware and database platforms, including IBM/AIX, Sun Solaris, Oracle and Microsoft SQL server.
