Northern Light Joins Oracle Portal Partner Initiative

As part of its efforts to expand the community delivering solutions based on the open portal functionality of Oracle9i Application Server, Oracle announced that Northern Light Technology Inc has joined the Oracle Portal Partner Initiative (OPPI), part of the Oracle Partner Program. Northern Light, a leading provider of information management and retrieval technology headquartered in Cambridge, MA, offers three portlets, including SinglePoint, the flagship portlet that aggregates content from leading analyst and market research firms, Northern Light's on-line business library of more than 7,000 publications, real-time newsfeeds, internal corporate data depositories and the Web. When integrated into an enterprise portal, these portlets, based on Northern Light's patented classification technology, enable users to search all types of information from a single view, even of very large heterogeneous databases. By joining the Oracle Portal Partner Initiative, Northern Light can collaborate with other members of the program and have access to sample portlets and code using the latest production release of Oracle's portal software available in Oracle9i Application Server.
