Informix SW to Market MITS Interactive Reporting/BI Suite

Informix Software, the database company, announced that it has entered into an exclusive agreement to market, sell and distribute the Management Information Tools Software (MITS) online analytical processing tool suite for MultiValue databases.

Developed by Management Information Tools Inc as a low cost, high performance business intelligence solution, MITS is compatible with a wide array of MultiValue databases, including Informix Software's extended relational databases, UniData and UniVerse (U2), which command approximately three-quarters of the MultiValue database market according to a recent Gartner Group report.

Under the agreement, Informix Software is granted the exclusive rights to add MITS to the Informix Software open MultiValue tools family, which also includes SB+, wIntegrate and RedBack, and will begin promoting and selling MITS through its worldwide channel sales force immediately.

Informix Software's U2 databases have been adopted by more than 600 value-added resellers (VARs) and embedded into applications relied on by more than two million users worldwide across vertical markets such as manufacturing, distribution, retail, health care and telecommunications.
