FAME Expands Suite of Time-Intelligent Java Libraries

FAME, a leader in enterprise-wide information integration, database management systems and Web-based, decision-support solutions, announced at the Wall Street on Java Expo in New York City the introduction of TimeIQ Charts and Time IQ Enterprise Edition, two additions to FAME's expanding suite of time-intelligent, Java libraries for use by the world's financial and energy markets.

First introduced in 1999, TimeIQ is FAME's Java library that models time-series data storage, analysis and manipulation in an object-oriented development environment.

TimeIQ Charts, a suite of JavaBeans designed to produce accurate and revealing graphs, takes full advantage of TimeIQ's time-intelligent data modeling, analysis and manipulation capabilities.

TimeIQ Enterprise Edition's enhancements, which support scalable and robust enterprise applications, include:

  • A pure Java client, which provides a significant increase in application performance and flexibility
  • Java libraries for connection pooling, essential in creating robust large-scale applications
  • Standardized message logging, which provides classes for logging and otherwise routing text messages for debugging and monitoring applications

In December 2000, FAME released TimeIQ v1.2, an enhanced version offering improved exception handling, providing more meaningful error messages; additional TimeIQ functors; and enhanced date formatting.
