Informatica Corporation Expands European Operations

Informatica Corporation, a leading provider of eBusiness analytic software, announced it has expanded European operations to the Netherlands and Belgium. This move is designed to strengthen its overall global reach and capitalize upon the demand for its data integration platform and analytical applications in the region. Chretien Minke has been appointed managing director of the newly formed Informatica Nederland B.V. and Informatica Belgie N.V. subsidiaries. The expansion is the result of the acquisition of syn-T-sys, a distributor who previously represented Informatica in this region.

The Informatica award-winning data integration platform and analytical applications enable companies to integrate data from disparate sources, analyze the information consistently across their business, and deliver personalized, timely insight to a wide range of corporate information consumers. Ultimately, this helps businesses improve operational performance, accelerate revenue growth and increase competitive responsiveness.

Previously, Chrétien Minke was the co-founder and CEO of syn-T-sys. In leading syn-T-sys for the past two years, he has overseen Informatica's tremendous growth in the region, to a point where the company now has license agreements with more than 40 top-tier companies, a staff of 23 technical support, sales, marketing and education professionals will be located at the regional offices. In the Netherlands and Belgium, customers include KPN Telecom, ABN AMRO Bank, VNU, Philips and others across a wide range of industries, including financial services, banking, insurance, telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, media, retail and manufacturing.
