Shell Spins Off Software Company Kalido Ltd

Kalido Ltd announced its formal spin-off from Shell Services International (SSI), making its breakthrough global performance management solution available commercially worldwide.

The launch of Kalido Ltd as a separate organization enables the company to focus aggressively on the sales and marketing of its flagship product, the KALIDO Data Warehouse. KALIDO was initially conceived in 1996 within the IT services arm of Royal Dutch/Shell Group of Companies (Shell) to address the complex data management issues faced by Shell's diverse businesses. Shell continues to be a key strategic investor in Kalido Ltd.

KALIDO Data Warehouse, now in its sixth release, is a proven solution with over 100 sites in over 85 different countries. Taking a radically different approach to data warehousing, KALIDO can be deployed as a dynamically linked federation of warehouses. KALIDO's federated system connects companies' global and regional organizations, delivering both unified and multiple views of their business, solving a significant problem that has plagued global companies.
