Trillium Software to Host Strategic Seminar Series

Trillium Software, a division of Harte-Hanks Inc, will sponsor a strategic seminar series with leading data quality experts to help organizations understand how to assess the quality of their data and its impact on their corporate bottom line.

David Loshin, author of Enterprise Knowledge Management: The Data Quality Approach, will discuss the importance of customer information and how companies can learn to identify and measure the impact of poor data quality, and the steps to make it improve. Additionally, Data Warehouse Expert Diogenes Torres will define the relationship between customer relationship management (CRM) and data quality, explaining how successful companies integrate the two technologies.

Each half-day seminar will feature a Trillium customer, such as AT&T and FedEx, sharing its data quality experiences. Seminars will be held in Boston, New York and Chicago in March and April.

"Low levels of data quality erode the value of what we could call an organization's 'information asset,'" Loshin said. To evaluate and to manage properly the risks associated with poor data quality, we must identify and measure the biggest impacts associated with it. It is important that companies understand this process so I'm teaming up with the data quality experts at Trillium to promote the importance of data quality and to help companies better understand their customer base."

Attendees of the seminar will learn proven techniques through which they can achieve meaningful advances in the quality of their business data. Loshin will show a precise, yet adaptable methodology for defining, measuring, and improving data quality as well as managing business intelligence. Torres will discuss the importance of data quality in a CRM environment and will share information on how companies can understand what constitutes good data quality and how to prosper from it.

"This series is a result of the many requests we've received from organizations that need to identify the business benefits of data quality, whether these organizations proceed to pursue these benefits themselves or through a software solution provider. David Loshin and Diogenes Torres have seen the enormous impact a well thought-out data quality process has in terms of improved customer service, increased awareness of cross-sell and up-sell opportunities and added sales revenues, said Len Dubois, Trillium's vice president of marketing. Trillium customers around the globe realize the benefits of e-business, CRM and data warehousing initiatives, but understanding how to achieve these same milestones is a universal issue. This seminar provides the tools everyone needs to fully understand how data quality translates into a stronger bottom line.
